About
My studio is at home and is less than a year old. Moved from another property in Ohariu Valley, and originally a glasshouse and gardening shed, this is its third home in the area since it was built.
The studio sits between our house and garden. It’s easily accessed and there’s plenty of parking. Only 10 minutes from Johnsonville we are nestled in the country, complete with resident sheep, horses, and a sense of calm.
I spent a few years just potting a couple of times a week. In the last two years, I have become increasingly immersed in the love of being creative. And now with a studio, I spend as much time as I can playing with clay. I enjoy hand building and continuing to learn throwing on the wheel. I make both functional and decorative pieces, either one off, or a series of similar designs.
If I were to get a tattoo it would say: I would rather be potting.
