With a rural native bush backdrop Summerstone Pottery Studio & Gallery enjoys the tranquillity of its surroundings, a pottery studio with a difference the studio boosts its own Wood Fired kiln which creates high fired soda ash ceramic pieces of art whether functional or for display, as well as offering Pit Firing or Raku classes in the purpose-built Kilns. This wood kiln is just one of the processes used here at Summerstone.
Although a working Studio, Summerstone has ample room to cater for guests to participate in lessons or workshops working with clay creating sculptural work or using the pottery wheels for beginners to advanced classes by experienced Potters.
Additional workshops can also include Pit Firing and Raku firing. processes, along with many aspects of clay creations using gas or electric kilns with resident potters or visiting tutors.
